The BronzeLens Film Festival of Atlanta Celebrates 5th Anniversary

The annual BronzeLens Film Festival of Atlanta will celebrate its 5th anniversary October 22-26 as a fast-growing non-profit organization committed to showcasing and promoting films by and for people of color.

The annual BronzeLens Film Festival of Atlanta will celebrate its 5th anniversary October 22-26 as a fast-growing non-profit organization committed to showcasing and promoting films by and for people of color.

The festival was founded in 2009 with the intent of celebrating the rich cultural diversity that has become iconic of the Atlanta arts scene and furthering the tradition of the city as a hub for multicultural filmmakers. Particularly in light of the recent boom in Georgia’s film industry, BronzeLens seeks to provide an educational forum and unique networking opportunities for underrepresented minorities seeking employment with production companies.

This year, BET Networks will expand upon its existing partnership with BronzeLens to include a first-time sponsorship of All Shorts All Day, a full day of screenings of the official 2014 BronzeLens short films selections, scheduled to take place Thursday, October 23 at the Georgia Pacific Auditorium. A panel of BET Networks judges collaborated to choose this year’s official selections, and the winner of the Best Short category will be announced at the BronzeLens Awards where BET will present a $5000 cash prize award.

This year’s exciting schedule will include a lineup of national and international film screenings, workshops, panel discussions, and its signature Women Superstars Luncheon on October 24.

Be sure to check out the 2014 BronzeLens Film Festival on October 22-26! You can purchase tickets to the festival and other BronzeLens events here.
